Sissonville Public Service District was created by the Kanawha County Commission in 1959 for the purpose of providing water and wastewater services to the citizens of Sissonville, WV. The District began providing treated water to customers in 1961.

During 1985, the District completed the wastewater treatment facility that would serve approximately, 1,200 customers. Today the District continues to serve nearly 1,700 customers.

In 1991, the ownership of the water distributing system was transferred to WV American Water.

IF YOU ARE PAYING A TERMINATION NOTICE AT ONE OF THE CHECKFREEPAY OR PAYNEARME LOCATIONS, YOU MUST CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE AND PROVIDE A RECEIPT NUMBER OTHERWISE YOU MAY HAVE YOUR WATER SHUT OFF AND YOU WILL BE SUBJECT TO ADDITIONAL FEES.
